Once I pressed that last submit button, I freed myself from ALL CREDIT CARD DEBT!!! Whahoo.. And I will never say never, but I hope to not ever have credit card debt again!
Now.. I don't know much about Dave Ramsey's system.. But I am going to try to do some of the "snowball" thing and roll extra money into my car payment each month. (Which is my next lowest payment.) However, I know once I get my car paid off or close to it, I will be ready for another car.. (I've only had it a year and a half and it already has near 37,000 miles on it.. Apparently I drive a lot... ) School loans are crazy high so those are going to have to wait..
Unfortunately, since I paid off the last of my credit card (and I just got paid today, sigh.) I am pretty poor.. Already. So.. That means absolutely no shopping.. And very very very limited eating out for the next month... Which isn't really going to be that hard... It is a good practice to do anyways.. I don't need to spend money on food I could just make at home.. (I don't cook. I either get Subway, Schlotzskys, or make my own sandwich. Boring I know. But if I can make my own sandwich, why spend $8 on one?!?!)
Another thing I need to limit, but probably won't, is money on gas.. I like to travel... But for the next month, there really isn't that many far off trips, so that is good.. I have never really concerned myself with the cost of gas.. (well, I did when it was $4 a gallon.. But right now it really isn't that bad.) To me, being able to go where I want far outweighs the stress of paying for gas.. Definitely worth the money.
So that's it.. I'm excited.. I feel really good about having no more credit card debt.. Hip hip hooray..
Good for you Katie - that is awesome!!!
